TI-STATEMENT AD BREEDVELD.
1. VIRTUAL REALITY BUSINESS. In the TI-society of Europe-2000 the image-making of the virtual reality business of Mr. White West Superman will be in power. The advertisement massmedia. The internet democracy. The digital worldwar. The new-age sciencefiction. The mainstream art-market. The green revolution. They all are fixed on catching the attention and the energy and the money of the peoples. And to deprive them their rights to develop an own private non-profit paradise now. 2. ESCAPE IN REAL ART LIFE. Because the real life will be overruled completely by this virtual reality business it only can survive in artificial arts, sports, trips, travels, flights, adventures, meditations, dreams and other old-fashioned preserve-experiments out of reality. 3. ART-COLONIES. The ruling virtual reality business will offer the last real life rebels some marginal playgrounds to act out their real life experiments as entertainment for the masses. So that they too can be exploited in exotic asylums, clinics, prisons, colonies, zoos and museums. As real-art-life-shows. 4. ART-POLICY. It will be our policy to survive with our old-fashioned art-life in these marginal art-colonies in virtual reality. But only if we can generate enough non-profit sponsors and incomes to maintain our real life. Double-life will be our main strategy: one for the money (in public) and one for the real (anonymous) 5. ART-POLICE. As soon as the virtual reality business will discover that a part of us is escaping their profits in secret real art life, their art-police will come in function to hunt our illegal non-profit-making. As soon as that starts to happen our art is hitting the point. 6. LASCAUX-II-FACSIMILE. In a pit in the cave of Lascaux we cannot visit anymore the first paleolithic art-scene where an artist escapes from the virtual death (wounded bison) into real art life (shitting rhinoceros). The scene is destroyed by mass-tourism. What we can do is to create an own Lascaux-II-facsimile to catch our own dream of real art life in Europe-2000. 7. META-POLITICS. The virtual reality business of Mr. White West Superman has a long tradition from Romantics to Hitler, which was analysed already by Peter Viereck in »Metapolitics« in 1941. Working with art-myths for art-escapes in real art-life its worth to study it. As soon as the myths come into power it seems to be healthier to escape into anti-myths. |
